Since the times of recorded history, education has been thought to play a cardinal role in the progress and prosperity of mankind. Today, it is considered a backbone for survival and it is not unreasonable to assure that the next millennium will consider " what you know"? rather that "who you are" ? and will also reject gender differences or preferences.

Dhoraji Foundation was established in 1983 with a view to supplement the efforts and projects of Dhoraji community related organizations, by cash and kind. With time, it became increasing clear that some families within the community were not able to support the ever rising cost of education of their children, who are otherwise extremely bright and accomplished. These young men and women are ambitious and of course, have a great potential to shoulder the burden of tomorrow's needs and will play a pivotal role in the progress of humanity, in general, and community, in particular.

To provide opportunities to younger generation for educational uplift and to ease the financial burden of families, Dhoraji Foundation announced a scholarship scheme for the bright and needy students.

You are one of the fortunate ones to have received a scholarship. We, the trustees of the Foundation, want you to fell proud as a recipient of this honor and expect you will put in your best efforts and be exemplary for others. The Foundation will always be available for providing any career guidance, should anyone need it . It is also expected that when , in future , you achieve financial freedom and are established in your career, you would also contribute to supplement the efforts of this organization to enhance the status and betterment of our community, Insha-ALLAH.
